The following
airlines serve the New Orleans International Airport; Aeromexico,
Air Canada, AirTran Airlines, American Airlines, Continental
Airlines, Delta Airlines, ComAir (Delta), Lacsa Airlines,
Midway, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Taca International
Airlines, TWA, United Airlines and US Airways.
Visitor Information
Services are located in the West Lobby (464-2752),East Lobby
(465-8852),West Baggage Claim (463-1020), and in the East
Baggage Claim (463-1006). Each Information Counter is open
from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. All of the visitor Information
Service Representatives are bilingual or multilingual.
The Traveler's Aid Booth (464-3522), located in the East
Lobby, is able to provide tourist information as well as
assist travelers in distress.
Translation Services are located in the West Lobby (464-2752),
East Lobby (465-8852), West Baggage Claim (463-1020), and
in the East Baggage Claim (463-1006). Each counter is open
form 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. All of the Translation
Service Representatives are bilingual or multilingual.
Passengers needing assistance in a foreign language, not
provided by Visitor Information Services, can call the Red
Cross Language Bank at 586-8191. This service is staffed
with bilingual and multilingual volunteers and is available
24 hours a day.
Louisiana Tax Free Shopping is designed to promote international
tourism to Louisiana by giving a refund on sales taxes.
It applies to those who can show a passport, an international
travel ticket and who will be in the country for less than
90 days. All shops in the airport have tax free shopping.

Locker Rental
Lockers for storage for suitcases and other items can be found
on each of the four concourses past the security checkpoints.
The price for $1.00 per 30 minutes or $6.00 per day.
Lost Property and Left Luggage
The airport retains items that have been lost in the public
areas of the terminal. The office is located on the lower
level on the West end of the terminal in the Airport Operations
Office. The office is open 24 hours a day and can be reached
at (504) 464-2672 or 464-0831. Items that have been turned
in are held for a period no longer than 90 days.
Patrons losing items in the airline exclusive areas, such
as ticket counter, gate areas or aircraft, should see airlines
for lost items. Lost luggage offices for each airline are
located in the baggage claim area.
Ground Transportation
Taxicabs - $21.00 from the airport to the
CBD for one person and $8.00 per person for three or more
passengers from the airport to the CBD. Pickup is on the lower
level, outside of the baggage claim.
Airport Shuttle Service - $10.00 per person for a one-way
ticket from the airport to the CBD and $10.00 for return trip.
Three bags per person. Call (504) 465-9780. Pickup and ticket
purchases can be made on the lower level outside of baggage
claim. Airport Shuttle also provides a limousine service
by reservation (limited availability). A stretch limo is $90.00
and can accommodate six people.
Jefferson Transit - $1.10 includes regular fare and
one transfer good on any Jefferson Transit bus. Fares for
the Airline Highway bus are $.80 from the airport to Tulane
Avenue, or $1.10 from the airport to Elk Place in the CBD.
The Airline Highway bus stops outside of Entrance #5
on the upper level, and runs approximately every 15-20 minutes
on weekdays, and every 30 minutes on the weekends.
Amtrak - leaves from Union Station, located at 1001
Loyola Avenue. They do not provide transportation to or from
the airport. Passengers should use limousine, public bus,
or taxi service to reach the station.
Greyhound - Pickup for the Greyhound bus is on the
upper level, outside of Entrance #5 . For information
on fares and scheduling, call 525-9371. Tickets are purchased
from the driver.
Coastliner/Mississippi Coast Service - Coastliner
provides shuttle service to the Gulf Coast and many other
places along the route. They make 9 trips daily, beginning
at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 11:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased
at the coastliner booth, located on the first level next to
U.S. Customs. Prices vary according to the passenger's final
destination.

Airport Facilities
To date, the airport offers 42 gates and houses
all ticketing, baggage claim and concession services. Car
Rental and other ground transportation outlets are also
terminal building residents, as are the United States Weather
Bureau, the U. S. Public Health and Immigration Service,
the U. S. Customs Service, and the U. S. Department of Agriculture.
The entire airport complex is free of any architectural
barriers to the handicapped, and Telephone Display Devices
(TDD's) are located throughout the terminal.
The Gateway Program is an information and language service.
Part of the NOAB, The Gateway Translators assists foreign
and domestic travelers in their native language--be it English,
Spanish, French, German, or Vietnamese.

Post Office
A Post Office is located in the ticket counter lobby area,
across from the Delta ticket counter. Service includes mailing
packages and letters, purchasing stamps and money orders,
renting Post Offices boxes, and a 24-hour mail drop. There
is also a 24-hour mail drop at the entrance to the East
Lobby near the water fountain.
Airline Lounges
Delta Airlines has a Delta Crown Room located between gates
3 and 5 on Concourse D.
Conference Facilities
Contact the Public Relations Office (504) 464-3547 of the
New Orleans Aviation Board for more information or to book
meeting rooms.
Parking
The New Orleans International Airport has a 3,000 space
covered parking garage on site for long and short-term parking.

Lobby, offers travel insurance, foreign money exchange, photocopies,
fax services, emergency cash, and wire money.

Facilities for the Disabled
The entire airport complex is free of any architectural barriers
to the handicapped. All restrooms have large toilet enclosures
with rails for the handicapped.
The five Telephone Display Devices (TDD) are located throughout
the airport terminal: one in the West Lobby and one
in each concourse.
There are also ramps throughout the airport and grounds, parking
spaces for the handicapped close to the elevators in the parking
garage, and elevators located in the West and East end of
the terminal building.
